Hi.

Welcome to Healthy and Whole where you can find tips and information supporting the benefits of a balanced life.

Tuna Wrap

Tuna Wrap

Tuna. We have a love hate relationship.

L O V E:

  • Excellent Protein → 12g/serving

  • Easy to hide veggies → added carrots, radishes, and tomatoes

  • Versatile → toss it in a wrap, dip a cracker in it, make a sammie

H A T E {but not really cause it’s delicious}:

  • It’s dry… not Mojave desert dry, but still dry

  • It’s in a can… there are worse things, but something about a can makes me feel eh. Especially because I don’t know how the tuna was caught, and it probably has extra stuff in it that my body doesn’t need.

          Nonetheless, it’s a perfect lunch, or snack, option! I don’t eat beef or pork, so getting protein from a variety of sources is important for both nutrients and my interest. Eating the same things can be boring and eventually unappetizing, at least for me! Tuna is also easy to make ahead and have ready for when you finish a workout, have a hangry moment, or just need a balanced meal!

This recipe hit the spot:

  • 1 can tuna {your fave brand is perfect!}

  • Veggies - I used chopped carrots, radishes, + tomatoes

  • 1 tablespoon Brianna’s Lemon Tarragon dressing {this was tangy, herby, and gave it the necessary moisture}

  • Top it with some mixed greens + avocado {of course!}

  • Wrap it in a tortilla → E A T
